The Kangyur is the complete collection of the Buddha's teachings, translated into Tibetan from Sanskrit between the 7th and 14th Centuries. The Tengyur is the commentaries on the teachings, composed by the learned and accomplished Masters of India.

The texts that will be enshrined in the Dzogchen Beara Temple are from the master copy of the Lhasa Printing Press and the Derge Printing Press in East Tibet, respectively, which are considered the most reliable collections. They are loose leaf block printed

The Kangyur has 100 volumes and the Tengyur 213 volumes. Together they have around 230,000 loose leaf block-printed pages. Each text is wrapped in a brocade cloth with a decorative leaf. They will be enshrined in cases on either side of the statues from where they will radiate their blessing as representations of the Buddha's speech.
