Gold Leafing Decoration on the Main Shrine:
Sponsor the gilding of the shrine with 20 sheets of gold for €50. This also includes the adhesive, the tools needed and the artist’s time.
All decorations adorning the shrine were first wood-carved and then a silicone mould was made. From that, each decoration were cast in plaster and then installed onto the shrine.
All joints were carefully filled for a seamless look. Then specialised paint applied along with a final coat of shellac. Each decoration will then be beautifully gilded with 23.50-carat gold leaf and then polished as an offering to the temple’s statues.
